We want every woman who is interested in RE/CREATE to be able to read this website, join the invitation list, and understand what a retreat involves before she decides.

Our standard for this website

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This website is designed to:

• Work with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a "skip to content" link
• Use text and background colors that meet WCAG contrast ratios
• Describe every meaningful photograph with alternative text
• Use clear headings, labeled form fields, and error messages that explain how to fix a problem
• Respect your device's reduced-motion setting
• Keep all essential content readable even if JavaScript does not load
• Adapt to phones, tablets, and desktop screens, and to text zoom

How we test

Before launch, every page was checked with the axe-core automated accessibility checker against WCAG 2.2 AA rules on desktop and mobile layouts, and the menu, questions, Room Assessment, and forms were tested with a keyboard. Automated tools cannot find every barrier, so we will also ask people who use assistive technology to review the site and we will keep improving it.

Known limitations

• The Room Assessment calculates your result in your browser, so the result itself needs JavaScript. The explanation of every result is available on the page without it.
• We have not yet completed testing with every screen reader and browser combination.

Accessibility at our retreats

Retreat venues, rooms, transport, and activities are provided by suppliers, and what is possible varies by destination. For each retreat we will share the accessibility information we have, including physical demands of activities and the venue details we can confirm, before anyone books.

If you have access needs, dietary requirements, or questions about whether a retreat will work for you, please ask us before booking. We will tell you plainly what we can and cannot arrange.
